It is just under 900 kilometres from the capital to the destination of Fehmarn. Fehmarn is Germany’s third largest island and is always worth a trip. From Hamburg to the island of Fehmarn
the steam train travels along the famous Vogelfluglinie. In its day, this was a faster connection between Germany and Denmark. The most famous landmark is the Fehmarnsundbrück, which is 963 metres long.
Enjoy the passing landscape of northern Germany on the journey. On island of Fehmarn you can then choose to swim in the Baltic Sea or take a ferry trip to Denmark or explore the island.

We wish you a safe journey!
