Railway experience tour of Czech Republic

4-day railway experience tour in a historic express train with dining car. Get to know the Czech Republic as a country, its railway history and other secrets.

On Thursday the journey takes you via Dresden to the golden city of Prague (Praha). The first highlight of the arrival evening is a dinner on the Vltava ship. On Friday we will go to Lužná u Rakovníka, about 60 kilometres away, to the Museum of the Czech Railway ČD. Locomotives and wagons have been in service in the historic depot since 1999. After an eventful day, the evening is free in Prague. Take a walk and enjoy the unique architecture of Prague. Stroll through the old town, across Wenceslas Square, along the Vltava River and end the day in one of the many pubs. On Saturday, the transport museum Střešovice is on the programme. Dozens of buses, trams, trolleybuses and memorabilia from former times are lovingly exhibited in an old depot. A historic tram takes you from there directly to the Staropramen brewery. In the historical brewery you will learn everything about the soul of Prague and about brewing beer. On Sunday we will take a trip to Kolín, east of Prague. A special ride on the Beet Railway and a tour of the Feldbahnmuseum round off this trip. In the afternoon we will travel via Lysá nad Labem, Litoměřice (where the Elbe and Eger rivers meet) and Dresden back to Berlin. The Prague Railway Experience Tour also ends in Berlin.
